March 24, 2026 Yesterday marked the one year memoriam of my father crossing over. 91 beautiful years and yet not long enough. Time is fleeting, fake, finite and often used as a weapon in our society to keep us small, stressed and in competition (with time and others!). So I wanted to get us thinking about time in a whole new way which could offer you some perspective and freedom from the constraints of our 24-hour construct of a day. How do I want to feel today? Simple and DEEP. So, consider this... If we only get 24 hours each day, many of which are taken up by sleep, using the bathroom, and other necessary time-required activities that we often overlook, so if we are left with 8-12 hours of wake time, how are we choosing to spend it? How much of those waking hours are you happy? Are you fully present? Are you choosing things with deep intention? I can tell you that I often find myself mindlessly scrolling Instagram, perusing LinkedIn, popping into the NYT app to see what horrors are unfolding in our world as it seems hard to keep up with the atrocities at this point. And, all of these things do NOTHING to help me feel joy. NOT. A. THING! Not sure about you, but when I started to notice this habit and how it was making me feel, I took on a new mantra "creation over consumption." To me, this means buying less, making more. Scrolling less, creating more. Less screen time, more life time. I want to be IN my life not OF my life. So I've started to write my memoir (the prequel to JOYHeals), dusting off the acoustic guitar and pulled out some paints. Joy truly is creativity! For so many years we move through time, going through life's phases - many of us finding a partner - getting married - having children - building careers - raising families - and we look back and say, "where did the time go?" It seems a blur. YET...there is still time to make big shifts. So ask yourself, if this was the last day we had on earth, how would we choose to spend it? My guess? Most would choose to... experience more joy spend time with those we cherish go into nature, eat something delicious and laugh with those we love while remembering all the good time in our precious lives... SO DO THAT TODAY. Spend your time like its finite. Tell your people you love them. Time is running out. Time is infinite. Time is your friend. Time is a thief. Time is a construct. Time is yours to do with what you choose. Choose wisely and chase more joy! With love and hoping time is on our side ;-) xo, Gabrielle |

Morning Sunrise, Manasquan, NJ Hey ya'll, How's it going?? Going to stick with this new format to see how it sticks - hope you dig it! MusingsI've been giving a lot of thought to advice I often give clients, friends, my kids, and myself. The advice is "meet yourself where you are!" So what does that mean? Think of it this way. We are naturally goal- and acquisition-oriented. Trying to achieve the next thing, buy the next thing, save for the next thing - then life shakes up our lives with...
Turtle Crossing | Shark River State Park, NJ WHAT IF LIFE WAS JUST A PRACTICE? When I was still offering one-on-one coaching to folks, I would invite them to consider the quote above during the first or second session. So I ask you, what if life was just a practice? Would we take it all so seriously? ------REALITY CHECK I get it - life can be serious, and the world in 2026 can be a very heavy place if you have a soul. The responsibilities of adulthood are not for the weak of heart. But stick...
